ABOUT JESSICA

WELCOME.

Jessica is an award-winning digital marketing professional working in Toronto. She is currently the Senior Social Media Manager at Questrade, managing the talented Social Media team and spearheading the social media, issue management, response and reputation strategies. Since joining, she hit the ground running, creating the organic social team’s foundation, content pillars, playbook, processes, content planning, analytics/reporting, and team structure.

She plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, revamping content approaches along with implementing social video into the content mix, and launching Questrade’s TikTok channel. Staying ahead of trends, not being afraid of testing/learning, and listening to Questrade’s audience has been impactful in staying relevant, relatable and connected with followers.

Before entering the finance space, she worked in retail at Hudson’s Bay managing everything social, including digital events and influencer. Previous to that, she worked in the world of chocolate at Lindt & Sprungli, leading the content and digital media strategy, including social media, influencer program, e-comm content, site content, email marketing and content creation. She coordinated shoots, developed recipes, and so much more. In addition to being a key member who worked on the launch of their e-commerce website Lindt.ca, she managed the content for Lindt’s yearly magazine, Lindt The Season, in 2019.  Jessica also executed Lindt’s first Influencer event in 2020 for Lindt  Excellence’s Dark Event. 

Previous to that, she was fortunate to work at Loblaw Companies Ltd within the No Frills team on a few award-winning campaigns. The most notable being the Hauler Campaign in 2018 and 2019. The campaign was revolutionary in it’s space and took home 8 awards for it’s success – including  Campaign of the Year 2018 at the Agency of the Year Awards (AOY) and Media Campaign of  the Year Award 2018 from AdClub Digital Day. In addition, Jessica developed the social media strategy for HaulerShop which launched on Instagram and Facebook as part of the Hauler Campaign.

Following Haulers Campaign success in 2018 came Hauler 2.0 and Hauler: Aisles of Glory Video Game in 2019, which was the first campaign she fully led Social Media and Content Strategy for. The Hauler 2.0 Campaign won 3 awards, including a Media Innovation Award (MIA) for Best in Consumer Engagement for the Hauler Aisles of Glory Video Game.

In addition to the amazing and cutting-edge campaigns, Jessica also created the ever-successful Local Social Program at Loblaw Companies Ltd, which began with the No Frills brand. The purpose of the program was to teach store franchisees how to use Social Media for their businesses at a store level to increase sales and drive traffic to their stores. Because of its immense success in increasing sales for No Frills and the enthusiasm of store franchisees to participate, the program expanded to all banners within Loblaw Companies Ltd.

Jessica started her career in Marketing fresh out of school in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since. She enjoys continuing to learn about new ways of reaching a brand’s audience in the digital space and growth with cutting edge strategies to Drive conversion and sales. She continues to keep up with Digital Marketing conferences as well as take courses on the latest features, and attending industries events.

When Jessica isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurant and dabbling in fashion. She’s a foodie at heart, hot yoga enthusiast, creative painter, Toronto sports fan ( go Raptors), and movie connoisseur. She also enjoys sharing about lifestyle, fashion and travel in additional to her favourite foods she has tried on Taste Of  It.
